Your Dog

Waggy Tails at ‘Almost’

We welcome all well behaved dogs.

Sea Palling and the surrounding area is a wonderful place for dog walking and fun, with sandy beaches and lots of open spaces to explore.

It goes without saying you need lead, collar and of course poop bags!

At the property you will find a box especially for your dog – this includes throws, spare towels to dry muddy paws, spare lead, dog toys, treats etc – quite simply whatever is in the box please feel free to use during your stay.

Please ensure vaccinations, flea and worm treatments are up to date, this is important as Sea Palling in summer is warm and there is more likelihood of ticks and parasites, so it is better to be safe than sorry.

Dogs behave better with their own familiar smell, so please bring your own dog bed and any dog toys, balls, Kongs etc. Should you forget anything, there are pet shops in North Walsham and Stalham. Pet food and some accessories may be purchased in the local village shop.

Rear Garden

The rear garden at Almost is fully enclosed and  access to the rear garden via a side gate.  There is an outside tap near the side gate should it be required.

Doggy Rules

Leaving your dog alone or unsupervised in the property – we would prefer that this isn’t done unless you are confident that your dog will settle.  It is just not fair on your dog (or on us) if they cause damage.

Please ensure your dog does not snooze on the sofas.  We also have to state however, your dog is NOT allowed on the beds.

Unlike many other properties we do NOT make any additional charges for your dogs at ‘Almost’. We have a very limited time to ensure that ‘Almost’ is ready between lettings and would therefore ask, if you are a pet owner to ensure the property is fur and poop free after your stay.

Dog RestrictionsThere are restrictions in place on the beach for dogs from 1st May until 30th September. During this time dogs are not allowed to the LEFT of the ramp. To the right of the ramp they are permitted all year around and you can walk for miles on the sands and in the dunes.

A short walk takes you to Waxham where you can often see seals, and sheltering just behind the dunes you will find Waxham Barn and a lovely café. A longer walk will take you to Horsey beach, well known for seal watching and the dog friendly Nelson’s Head pub.

Waxham is a lovely dog walking beach with absolutely no restrictions throughout the year.
